Digital marketing deals with the involvement of digital channels for the promotion of products and services of a company. Social media, emails, blogs, ads, mobiles, influencers, etc are the common modes to market a business’s goods and services on an online platform.

In today’s world of the internet, gadgets and technology, digital marketing has developed into one of the most in-demand industries. It is quite an important skill to have under your belt.

This programme has been designed by industry experts to equip the learner with the skills and knowledge to kick-start their digital marketing career as a Digital Marketing Assistant.

By completing this course the learner would have been provided with a solid foundation in marketing techniques and practices including consumer behavioural studies. The learner would have been given a wider context for the study of marketing by familiarising him/her with related studies in economics, statistics, languages, business and retail skills and other relevant areas.

The learner who successfully completes this programme will achieve the Level 5 Certificate in Marketing 5M2069. The learner may then be eligible to apply to progress to the next or higher levels of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) with a higher education provider.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• CAO points not required.
• All applicants will be required to attend an application review discussion. An offer of a place on this course is contingent on the applicant meeting the minimum entry requirements set out here, and satisfactory presentation at interview.
• Leaving Certificate or equivalent. For mature applicants appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

EDUCATION PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES:

Use your full QQI award to progress to degrees in Business Administration, Business, Business Information Systems, Information Systems Management, Tourism & Marketing.
