INTRODUCTIO

Are you considering a career in Administration Management?

Administration management has become the core function of a successful organisation and plays a vital role in ensuring business success. Administration management is the process of managing information by people. This often involves storing and distributing information to people in the organisation. Many roles in business require some form of administration management. Any person involved in the planning, coordination, execution or management of a company can be considered an administration manager.

This programme is designed to equip learners with skills of administrative management which will allow them to function effectively in an administrative environment.

It has been designed in such a way that it will allow the learner to explore administration with a view to re-skilling/up-skilling and exploring concepts and subject areas that may interest the learner in future programmes or employment and to promote development of the learner in a broad range of knowledge of administration practices and the role of administrative services in an organisation.

This programme will also facilitate the learner to develop their interpersonal, team working, learning to learn, time keeping and time management skills, as appropriate, so that the learner is enabled to take responsibility for their own learning and to support progression including future participation in education and employment.

On successful completion of this course learners will have enhanced their confidence in their administration management abilities and would have built on their skills to allow them to reach their full potential. They would have also developed a broad range of administrative knowledge and skills in proposing, planning, designing, implementing and evaluating administrative services within a variety of contexts.

The learner who successfully completes this programme will achieve the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Administration 6M5013. The learner may then be eligible to apply to progress to the next or higher levels of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) with a higher education provider.
