LOCATION:
Onsite at Charleville Campus.
INTRODUCTION:
This Level 6 Major Award enables the learner to develop the knowledge, skills and competence to work in a range of community health service settings and school settings.
The purpose of this course is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence in the practices and principles underpinning the role of a Special Needs Assistant to enable the learner to work effectively under direction in a special needs capacity.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
- CAO points not required.
- QQI Level 5 award
- All applicants will be required to attend an application review discussion. An offer of a place on this course is contingent on the applicant meeting the minimum entry requirements set out here, and satisfactory presentation at interview.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent. For mature applicants appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

DURATION:
Four days a week, from 9:30 to 14:30. Class timetables to follow in September, and subject to change.
DURATION:
No fees apply to Post Leaving Certificate Courses. However, applicants who are offered a place on a course of their choice will be required to pay a non-refundable Registration Charge of €50 to confirm their acceptance.
Certain courses require learners to obtain specific kits or equipment necessary for participation on the course. These items must be paid for by the learner and will remain the property of the learner on completion of the course. Click here for further information.
Erasmus+:
50 full-time day students will travel, fully-funded, with Erasmus+ to another European country for 2 weeks. Find out more and apply.
